Educating the Future Leaders of Kosovo

The KAEF Scholarship logoLast week I was honored with the opportunity to travel to Kosovo – a brand new nation in the Balkans – to interview scholarship applicants for the KAEF Scholarship, coordinated by American Councils for International Education. The goal of the KAEF Scholarship is to educate students in business and economics, so that they will return and put their new skills to work in the economic development of Kosovo.

Not only was I thoroughly impressed by the qualifications of the candidates, I was truly inspired by their maturity and perspective. They see themselves aiding in the progress of their new country, and are passionate about furthering their education in order to achieve this. Regardless of if they are selected for a scholarship or not, I feel confident that the future of Kosovo is in good hands, and am also reminded of the power of passion and motivation.-Kat
