11/26/12 – As part of our Sustainable Enterprise Speaker Series, Tony Greaton, Environmental, Health and Safety Manager at Hach Company will explain how to integrate and sustain all aspects of EHS in business culture, and the significance of getting the “Big Cheese” engaged as a champion.
EHS stands for Environment, Health, and Safety. At Hach Company, Tony Greaton manages these initiatives, which include sustainability. However, in order to make these initiatives come to fruition, internal engagement strategies are essential. As the EHS manager, he has to take into consideration the potentially beneficial impacts of EHS on external public relations as well as the consequences of EHS mistakes. Not only does Tony have to get employees to buy in to new initiatives, in order to get the management engaged, he has to tie it all back to the bottom line and incorporate measurable metrics to track progress.
